Château du Bourg is a lovely residence, set at the foot of a slope of vines, which was built in the 18th and 19th centuries. Denis Matray will welcome you there, in their 1900s style bistro, to taste the estate’s wines.
Our family estate was created in 1954. The vineyards are in Northern Pays Beaujolais. In the estate’s vaulted cellar, which dates from 1663, you can taste deliciously lip-smacking Chiroubles, Fleurie, reputed to be the most feminine of the Beaujolais Crus, Moulin-à-Vent, the lord of the Crus and fresh, supple Beaujolais Villages of the year.

The estate buildings are surrounded by 10 ha of vines that are owned by the family. In addition to Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages, Patrice Chevrier is the owner-winemaker of vines in Cru Brouilly, Chiroubles, Fleurie and Morgon. An 11-hectare estate in the Chénas and Beaujolais appellation areas. We work organically to get wines that are as close as possible to the terroir the grapes came from. Vinification is natural.
