Activité: Dining at a wine estate
Château de Buffavent is a building with personality whose origins date back to 16th century and whose vineyards spread over 20 ha in the heart of Pierres Dorées (golden stone) Beaujolais. Denis and Marie-Agnès Chilliet welcome you throughout the year to give you tastings of a full range of award-winning wines. You can also stay in one of our 3, 4-ear-of-corn guest rooms that we opened recently. Come to see us and taste the charm of the setting. We will gladly share our passion for wine and know-how with you.
Ours is a family-owned estate for 8 generations covering 25 ha. The house is 16th century with a wrought iron gate, inner courtyard and vaulted cellar.
Maison Coquard is a house with personality in Theizé that was built out of the Pierres Dorées (golden stone) that gives its name to the nearby typical villages, which was built in 1881. It is not far from Villefranche-sue-Saône and Lyon. The buildings include an old vatroom and cellar. Christophe Coquard, the son of a long line of vinegrower-winemakers and young artisan broker, will welcome you for a tasting of the entire Beaujolais range.
A family estate set in the heart of the Beaujolais region in the magnificent Pierres Dorées (golden stone) area, with its vines. Just a step away from the heritage-rich village of Theizé. All this comes together for you to have an enjoyable time on Beaujolais lands and discover the estate’s wines.
Our 20 ha family estate dates from 1750. It is in Theizé in Southern Beaujolais in the very heart of Pierres Dorées (golden stone) Country, where the quite steep hilly terrain overlooks the Saône Valley. We work our vines in respect for nature, keeping the yields moderate and using traditional vinification methods to bring you fleshy, fruity and balanced wines.
The chai and the estate are in Blacé, in a 12th century priory. The latter was home to Grandmontine monks, who tended the vines surrounding the château up to 1769. Today, the estate spreads over 9 ha of vines, which give directly onto the chai. Our estate also includes vineyards in Villié-Morgon (1ha) and Saint Lager (3ha). The estate is organic certified for the vines in Saint Lager (AOC Brouilly). We use eco-friendly techniques for the rest of the estate, including shallow-ploughing between the vines.
Annie and Bernard Dumas welcome you to Ternand, a mediaeval village in Pierres Dorées (golden stone) Beaujolais, on their family estate where you can enjoy the estate wines.
Come and visit our grapevine nursery to understand more about how vines grow and then tour our wine estate (vines, vatroom etc.), finishing off with a tasting of our great Beaujolais wines.
Our tasting cellar is in the hamlet of Graves, in the middle of the Pierres Dorées (golden stone) region. The vines are just below the building, facing full south.
