The vines of our 15 ha family estate are on the slopes of the Morgon appellation area, just a step away from Cru Chiroubles. Cathy and Cédric Lathuilière will give you a tasting of their wines in their specially fitted out tasting cellar.
Activité: Vineyard walks (hikes, strolls)
Two families of vinegrower-winemakers from father to son have joined to form our estate:
-The PASSOT family, from Chiroubles and Fleurie. Jean-Benoît PASSOT, our great grandfather, was the first winemaker, born in 1867.
-The COLLONGE family, from Villié-Morgon. Antoine COLLONGE, farrier, bought a wine estate in 1828.
-Vinegrower-winemakers since 1978, we created Domaine PASSOT COLLONGE in 1990 with vines from our forefathers in four Beaujolais Cru appellations: Morgon, Chiroubles, Fleurie and Régnié (the prince of Crus and the most recent of the Beaujolais Crus).
-We were among the first vinegrowers to use integrated, eco-friendly tending techniques in our vineyards from 1992.
-We were joined on the estate by our son, Jean-Guillaume, in 2005 when he passed his BTS (vocational degree) in viticulture-oenology. He has gradually increased the range, with vineyards in Côte de Brouilly, Brouilly and Brouilly ‘’Pisse-Vieille’’ (the excellent and only climat or named vineyard in this Cru).
We craft a range of 6 Crus that each carry the stamp of the geographic formation they come from and traditional vinification in small batches. A cuvée for each plot.
With our choice of vintages, we can please all tastes.
Be prepared for a few surprises when you taste our wines; their structure joins forces with the unequalled fruitiness given by Gamay grapes when they come from the land they call home.
Convinced that eco-friendly, integrated vine tending is the right way to go, we started using these methods in 1992. In preserving natural balance and the biodiversity of our terroirs, we are respecting both the environment and the consumer. Since 2018, all our wines are TERRA VITIS certified.
If you can come, we’d love to give you a tour of our estate for you to find out more about our profession of vinegrower-winemakers. You can be sure of a very warm welcome in our Bed and Breakfast on the estate, set in the heart of the Beaujolais vine slopes.
The estate has been in the family for 4 generations. Ours is a winemaker’s house built out of stone from Mont Brouilly and dates from the beginning of the last century. Here you will be able to taste the fruit of our passion.
Domaine de Bellecombe welcomes you in a green setting between vines and forest. You’ll love the cellar that was dug out of the granite in our Beaujolais house. To prolong your stay in our lovely vineyard, we have a gîte for four at your disposal.
Welcome to Domaine de Forétal. Come and meet us to discover our different cuvées in Vauxrenard.
Jean-Yves is the 5th generation of Perraud, winemaker in the same town. He works an area of 9 hectares, part of which is in Vauxrenard. Its other vines are in Juliénas for the wine of the same name and in Romanèche-Thorins for the Moulin-à-Vent cru. Harvesting by hand with a team of 20 grape pickers, he vinifies all of his wines and sells his vintages himself for direct sale, in wine merchants, restaurants and for export.
Demanding in life, it is for its vines and its wines to bring you quality wines that allow you to have a good time.
Set in the heart of the vines, our winemaker’s house welcomes you for a stay or to discover our wines. We give tastings in our tasting cellar or in the vatroom at Château du Thil.
With its rural, vineyard setting skimming the peaks of the Monts du Beaujolais , the Château offers a haven of relaxation untouched by time. This guest house can accommodate all types of private and professional event. Château Bellevue is also a winery with 15 hectars of vineyard in particular in the CRU MORGON.
Our family has been vine owners since 1825, making ours the oldest family run estate in the Morgon appellation area. The Aucoeur estate is today stewarded by the 11th generation: Mélanie and Arnaud. Vaulted cellar, traditional vatroom, panoramic view of the Alps, private, personalised visits created by us for you are the key to the success of your visit.
This establishment trains future graduates in wine professions. Bel-Air agricultural college is housed in a lovely château dating from the end of the 19th century set in the heart magnificent parkland. A modern, high performance vatroom is an aid to crafting wines of recognized quality.
We are in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards, at the foot of Mont Brouilly. We are an association of vinegrowers who make modern wines with character in true Beaujolais tradition.
