A family estate (since 1552) in the heart of the Medieval village of Oingt that has been listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Come and visit our museum with its display of old vehicles and old farm tools etc.
Le Pays des Pierres Dorées (golden stone country), the Azergues Valley, the Mediaeval village of Ternand and a winding lane take you on a pleasant journey to our gourmet boutique called Oedoria, in Létra. Here you will find the wines we make, as well as a wide range of regional produce, gift ideas and hampers etc.…
This estate’s 7.50 ha of vines, tended using integrated techniques, spread over the south-eastern slopes of the hamlet of Graves then run down the green and peaceful Brie Valley where the winemaker’s house nestles. In this haven of peace, the art of music and the land resonate. Here, the cellar is a place for pleasure and freedom where you can taste the Beaujolais wines crafted on the estate. Yves and Paule Bonnet, vinegrower-winemaker and musician, invite you to come and meet artists in a reception room that they have designed specially to welcome their visitors around a ‘winemaker’s aperitif’.A new season for “home from home”, will give us the opportunity to share more good times with all the artists we have programmed.
Two families of vinegrower-winemakers from father to son have joined to form our estate:
-The PASSOT family, from Chiroubles and Fleurie. Jean-Benoît PASSOT, our great grandfather, was the first winemaker, born in 1867.
-The COLLONGE family, from Villié-Morgon. Antoine COLLONGE, farrier, bought a wine estate in 1828.
-Vinegrower-winemakers since 1978, we created Domaine PASSOT COLLONGE in 1990 with vines from our forefathers in four Beaujolais Cru appellations: Morgon, Chiroubles, Fleurie and Régnié (the prince of Crus and the most recent of the Beaujolais Crus).
-We were among the first vinegrowers to use integrated, eco-friendly tending techniques in our vineyards from 1992.
-We were joined on the estate by our son, Jean-Guillaume, in 2005 when he passed his BTS (vocational degree) in viticulture-oenology. He has gradually increased the range, with vineyards in Côte de Brouilly, Brouilly and Brouilly ‘’Pisse-Vieille’’ (the excellent and only climat or named vineyard in this Cru).
We craft a range of 6 Crus that each carry the stamp of the geographic formation they come from and traditional vinification in small batches. A cuvée for each plot.
With our choice of vintages, we can please all tastes.
Be prepared for a few surprises when you taste our wines; their structure joins forces with the unequalled fruitiness given by Gamay grapes when they come from the land they call home.
Convinced that eco-friendly, integrated vine tending is the right way to go, we started using these methods in 1992. In preserving natural balance and the biodiversity of our terroirs, we are respecting both the environment and the consumer. Since 2018, all our wines are TERRA VITIS certified.
If you can come, we’d love to give you a tour of our estate for you to find out more about our profession of vinegrower-winemakers. You can be sure of a very warm welcome in our Bed and Breakfast on the estate, set in the heart of the Beaujolais vine slopes.
Cut through by the old Lyon Autun Roman Road, the family estate is in the heart of Morgon. Gérard and Germaine Brisson will give you a tasting of the estate wines in their superb 18th century vaulted cellar and, by appointment, they will take you on a voyage of discovery of the vines in their 2 CV Dolly or their Bentley S3 (booking conditions, and price on request). Also by appointment are 2 wine workshops (booking conditions, and price on request).
A 11 ha family estate in Morgon on the slopes of prestigious Côte de Py, giving an exceptional panoramic view. A lovely range of Morgon wines that express their terroir well and an authentic Fleurie, the grapes for which come from a beautiful plot at the foot of the Chapelle de La Madone.
Our estate has been in the family for 7 generations. We have 7 appellations made using a single grape variety – Gamay – on offer. Craftsmen of vines and wine, we train and tend our vines, vinify our wine and sell it ourselves. Our passion for wine is to be found inside each of our bottles.
Three generations of winemakers have worked this 11 ha family estate, always true to tradition.
Our family has been vine owners since 1825, making ours the oldest family run estate in the Morgon appellation area. The Aucoeur estate is today stewarded by the 11th generation: Mélanie and Arnaud. Vaulted cellar, traditional vatroom, panoramic view of the Alps, private, personalised visits created by us for you are the key to the success of your visit.
